About QR Code Generator

The QR Code Generator creates scannable QR codes from any text, URL, phone number, email address, or plain text. QR codes update in real-time as you type. Download as SVG (scalable, perfect for print) or PNG (raster, for web use).

Configurable settings include: QR code size, error correction level (L/M/Q/H), and foreground/background colors for branded QR codes.

Higher error correction levels allow the QR code to be scanned even when partially obscured or damaged — useful for printed materials that may wear over time. Error correction level H allows up to 30% of the code to be damaged or obscured while still remaining scannable.

All QR codes are generated in your browser. Nothing is uploaded to any server.

How to Use QR Code Generator

  1. Type or paste text, a URL, email, or phone number.

  2. The QR code generates in real-time.

  3. Adjust size and error correction level if needed.

  4. Download as SVG (for print) or PNG (for web).

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a character limit?

QR codes can encode up to ~4,296 alphanumeric characters at low error correction. Shorter content produces simpler, more reliably scannable codes.

What is error correction level?

Error correction allows QR codes to be scanned even when damaged. Level L: 7% recovery, M: 15%, Q: 25%, H: 30%. Use H for printed materials that may be worn or partially covered.

Should I download SVG or PNG?

SVG is vector-based and scales to any size without pixelation — ideal for print. PNG is a raster image fixed at a specific pixel size — better for web embedding.

Can I create a QR code for a WiFi network?

Yes — enter the WiFi string format: WIFI:T:WPA;S:NetworkName;P:Password;; and the QR code will connect devices to the network when scanned.

Can I add a logo to the QR code?

Use error correction level H (30% recovery), then overlay a small logo (under 25% of the QR code area) in image editing software without losing scannability.
